Reiki Education, Inc. is hosting a Reiki retreat in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains to celebrate life and to embrace the power of healing, empowerment and Manifestation. The retreat offers time for healing, unity, self-reflection and gratitude and Reiki related and advanced workshops. The retreat is suitable for Reiki practitioners of all levels and anyone who is interested in Reiki healing also welcome to attend. The theme is based on the 5 Reiki Precepts: “Just for today, do not worry; Just for today, do not anger; Honor your parents, teacher and elders; Earn your living honestly; Show gratitude of all living things”.
Each day, we will explore and study the truth of the Precepts through various programs. The programs are designed to help us implement the percepts into our daily life and to live a meaningful Reiki life filled with positivity, love and joy, therefore, enabling us to be free from limitation and feel empowered to become all we can be and to manifest our dreams.
A non-profit organization based in Charlotte, Reiki Education, Inc. has a mission to help people to improve their quality of life by increasing awareness of the health benefits of Reiki, an energy healing treatment method that can reduce stress and enhance the healing process. The Reiki Retreat 2010 was a great success. Everyone who participated had nothing but good things to say about it.
Personally one of the things that struck me as most evident was the total unity of the group. During the entire weekend people who had never met before came together with such an openness and loving outgoing attitude that it was perfectly comfortable for all. Each of us could feel the love from the others. Ultimately the unity or oneness prevailed in all aspects of everything from the opening ceremony to the closing and lack of urgency to leave. We all stood around the parking lot chatting with each other for the longest time, then we all left and joined up together again at a local rock shop.
The presentations were very well received by all and I want to take my hat off to each of the presenters. To say that they did an excellent job seems less than adequate. Linda Backes did two wonderful presentations, one on crystals and one on auras and I am sure provided knowledge to all of us that will be used long term. Jessica Betts presentation on pendulum use will be something we all utilize in treatments of the chakra system ongoing. Cynthia Loder provided an excellent program that was utilized in a positive and rewarding way throughout the weekend on journaling and the exercises were great. I am sure that those of us who already journal benefited and those who did not before the program experience may start to utilize this wonderful tool for further personal growth. Jeff Lutz put on a wonderful program of hands on experience in making of a selenite wand. Everyone was excited and really got into it. Of course he added his trademark humor to the entire weekend of events as well. Finally I wish to note that every participant took an active role of participation and gave of their knowledge and experience to help bring more to each event and the overall weekend.
I would also point out that Mei Yin worked tirelessly for weeks prior to the event and throughout the event to make sure all went well and everything ran smoothly. She deserves recognition as a leader and facilitator.
Mei Yin and I want to thank everyone who helped make this wonderful event possible from its inception to completion.
We have had many ask about the next event already and just to let you know there is one coming in the spring so stay tuned!

We just got back from our retreat and it was AWESOME!!! The weather was beautiful, the location was great and the people were phenomenal !!! The weekend was better than I could have hoped for. Thanks to everyone who attended and made it a very special weekend!!!

It is the beginning of the fall, we gathered at a retreat center in Maggie Valley, a beautiful retreat location nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We celebrated life, experienced self-healing, empowerment and manifestation on the deepest level! It was such a exhilarating and miraculous experience for everyone who attended.
Like everything else, birthing of a project is challenging. The birthing process for the retreat was intense but purposeful. The process began with a vision Bill has 3 years ago of a successful Reiki retreat. I vividly remember his passion and excitement about a retreat and he glowed every time he talked about it. I was uncertain at the time but I was semi-open to the idea. Now I realized his vision was like a beam of light sending out to the universe and the light started to emanate stronger everyday. Around June 2010, Cynthia Loder, a dear friend and our Fundraising Director brought up an idea of a Reiki retreat. We were beginning to see the manifestation of his dream and the rest is history… the most important thing I learned from this experience is that you have a hold a strong vision in your mind and your heart in order to manifest something you truly want in your life. The healing part comes from forgiveness, you have to willing to forgive yourself and others who do not always match up to your standard. Then, the self -empowerment naturally follows!
